Software updated with file translators and several new features
MARLBOROUGH, Mass.—Kubotek3D, a leading supply chain software provider, today announced the 4.1 release of the Kubotek K-Compare and K-Display software products. This release provides updates to CAD file translators, user interface improvements, and several new functions.
Updated CAD Translators
Reading of 3D CAD files across all 4.1 Kubotek interoperability software programs has been updated to support the latest versions of five major CAD file formats:
- Dassault Systemes CATIA V5 and V6 support for 2022(x)
- Siemens Digital Industries Software NX support for 2007 Series
- PTC Creo support for 9.0
- Autodesk Inventor support for 2023
K-Compare Enhancements
The 4.1 release of K-Compare Validate has improved point-to-face compare capabilities to read from IGES files the entity name metadata from point entities. The point entity names are displayed in the tree with paired graphical highlighting to aid users in identifying specific points with significant deviations from the model. Additionally, a simple pass/fail note has been added to the output in automated validation reports.
The K-Compare Revision product for 4.1 has a new function to create angular measurement annotations in report views from user selection of 2 planar edges or 4 planar positions on the model. The ability to adjust and organize differences in early versions of a report has also been enhanced. Reports with just a title page will now allow changes to the results tree.
K-Display Enhancements
Kubotek 4.1 View and Convert products have a new function to automate the creation of a BOM table and balloon annotations from an assembly or set of solid bodies and their metadata. This capability helps users reviewing CAD data to quickly find part names and quantities. The semantic information available in the part tree for PMI annotation entities has also been expanded to list particulars such as tolerance values and datum text.
